Workshop acceptance notices were sent June 6, 2008.
The next step is to plan workshops. See TA on Planning a Workshop for ideas on how to plan a workshop. Keep in mind that this is a technical assistance and training event. Workshops should therefore focus on sharing ideas, best practices, and other how-to information that would be beneficial for the Ryan White community.
The Grantee Meeting Program will be comprised of two types of workshop sessions:
- Workshops – A workshop is 90 minutes long and should include time for questions and answers (Q&A). A maximum of three speakers for panel workshops is suggested. Make sure you leave sufficient time Q&A. A session moderator is required, and is usually a HAB project officer.
- Institutes – An institute is a series of three interrelated workshops that include: a 101 session (beginner level), a 201 session (intermediate level) and a 301 session (advanced level) on a specific focus or topic. By the end of attending all three sessions, attendees should have a greater understanding of the topic at a more advanced level.
Please note: Audio/visual equipment will be provided for all sessions, at no added charge, and will include laptops, LCD computer projectors, screens, podium, table and microphones. There will be no accommodations for 35 mm slide presentations.
For assistance with workshops. please contact your project officer or call Mylandar Davis, HAB project officer at (301) 443-2441 or Helen Rovito, HAB project officer, at (301) 443-3286.
